Going Green

At Rye Ridge Cleaners we understand the importance of using eco-friendly products. That’s why we introduced the Green Garmento bag, a hamper and laundry bag that’s not only attractive and easy to use, but environmentally friendly.

After introducing the product, many of our customers have switched to using it versus the traditional plastic covers. Together, we have saved 100,000 plastic bags (over 3400 lbs. of plastic).

Saving the Earth

Each year, more than 300 million pounds of single-use plastic dry cleaning bags are dumped into our landfills, and that’s just the statistics for the United States. There are at least 15 countries around the world that have banned or taxed single-use plastic bags, including parts of the United States.

Don't Use Plastic

Plastic bags don’t completely break down in the landfills. When the plastic bags are left on recently cleaned clothes, they don’t breathe, which causes heat and moisture build which is not good for the fabric

Our Recyclable Option

We offer a recyclable, breathable, and water-resistant option. Our Green Garmento is the eco-friendly, stylish, practical, and affordable alternative to single-use plastic garment bags. Make the switch today and aid in our fight to reduce the negative impact of single-use plastic bags.

Additional Eco-Friendly Options at Our Facility

In addition to our Green Garmento bags, we also offer other green options, including:

  • Eco-Friendly Prints with Soy and Recyclable Products
  • Recycle Metal and Hangers
